Daily journaling is one of the mindfulness practices often mentioned by top performers in the book Tools of Titans by Tim Ferriss. I tried it myself. And to be honest, every now and then I forgot about it, when there was just too much to do. But during the days I journaled I had the feeling that it had a positive effect, considering the tiny amount of time (5 minutes) it takes. I would recommend everybody to try it! And there are two options to start:
(1) The lean way
Take a plain piece of paper. Divide it into five sections for each of the following questions:
- I am grateful for...
- What would make today great?
- Daily affirmations, I am...
- 3 amazing things that happened today
- How could I have made today better?
The first three questions are to be answered in the morning and the remaining in the evening, at the end of the day. Each questions should take you about 1 minute, hence the name of the journal.
(2) The professional way
